Garden Products

Just mention of the word "organic" can still split some groups of people into two opposing "clans," nearly as divisive as the feuding "Hatfields and McCoys." Some love everything organic, and others, not so much, but when talking garden products what"s all the fuss? In reality, everyone"s goal is the same, to have the healthiest, most productive, best tasting, and aesthetically pleasing garden possible.

The desire for more natural solutions is not new. As far back as the end of World War II, and the development of more and more chemical pesticides, some of those dealing with insect control were already searching for less toxic solutions. They knew the easiest pest control, which seemed to be the "chemical" way, wasn"t necessarily the best approach. While it would require significantly more research and work, they believed that finding alternatives to pesticides would greatly benefit both people and the environment. Through their efforts it was discovered that addressing problems, such as at the planting stage (i.e., planting more pest resistant plants, etc.) were useful keys to a well-rounded insect and disease control plan. Today one can easily find organic or natural solutions to various gardening problems, with more and more information readily available on the internet.
